Teak Guard® has released its new Teak Guard® Marine product. Utilizing the well-developed science of nanotechnology, the product absorbs the most damaging rays of the Sun’s spectrum. The Teak Guard® Marine coating protects your boat’s teak for longer in the harsh solar radiation in Australia and around the world.
The product contains a targeted blend of nanoscale active ingredients specifically tailored to allow deep penetration of the coating into the wood grain, enhancing the natural and long-lasting properties of teak such as water resistance, strength, an attractive finish, and its use in non-slip decking.
The nanoscale UV absorber in Teak Guard® Marine provides high durability of the coating, but without reducing the transparency of the impregnation, leaving the teak looking natural. The clear, fast drying coating is the only one of its type to prevent significant graying of the wood.
The micropores of Teak Guard® Marine allow water vapour to escape from the teak, preventing flaking, peeling and cracking. The impregnation also provides much longer protection than normal teak oils from water absorption, mildew and invasive microorganisms, and is also free of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and environmentally damaging solvents.
