SmalTec Nano-Grinding machine is capable of next generation, ultra-precise results, such as perfect round holes to within 0.20 micron diameter and positional tolerance, plus complex micro patterns to true 3-D contoured shapes are achievable. Grinding results produce a mirror finish surface roughness of sub-5 nanometer Rmax. The M2I7-n’s positional range of X, Y, and Z is 50 millimetres per axis, its step resolution is 10 nanometre, and its positional repeatability is 170 nanometres.
