At Nissan Chemical America Corporation, we produce colloidal silicas and metal oxide solutions for scratch-resistant coatings for eyeglass lenses, automobile clear coats, and many other plastic parts needing protective coatings. We also produce high-purity colloidal silicas used in the production of polishing slurries for the semiconductor industry. Our colloidal silicas are also used in the manufacture of synthetic fibers and textiles. We are also the only producers of elongated and string-of-pearl shaped silica in the industry.

Such activities fall under the umbrella of “Responsible Care.” Nissan Chemical is one of the founding members of the Japan Responsible Care Council, which was organized in April 1995, and is actively pursuing these goals.
We aim to reduce, reuse and recycle raw materials through the development of environmentally friendly products right from the design stage. At the same time, we set environmental preservation targets that are easy for outside observers to understand.
