Description:
Advanced Diamond Technologies, Inc. (ADT) manufactures thin films of Ultrananocrystalline diamond (UNCD). UNCD is phase pure diamond characterized by grain sizes that are on the order of 3-5 nm. The exceptionally small grain sizes and novel process with which UNCD is synthesized renders diamond films which are very smooth and which can be integrated into existing systems.
UNCD is currently being used as friction and wear coatings, as hermetic packaging for biomedical implants, in MEMS, RF MEMS and electron discharge devices. |
