Nanocyl offers a full line of carbon nanotubes available in quantities ranging from a few kilograms up to several tons. Current products meet technical specifications for applications such as high-performance conductive additive.
Nanocyl was established in 2002 as the first European company with the goal of manufacturing carbon nanotubes (CNT) in commercial quantities.
The foundation of Nanocyl stems from the research work of Professor Janos B.Nagy of the University of Namur, and Professor Jean-Paul Pirard of the University of Liège. Today these researchers along with Nanocyl scientists and engineers continue to push the envelope in developing high-quality grades of carbon nanotubes for commercial applications and to support research activities.
Nanocyl’s basic technology had its foundation in the research work carried out at the Universities of Liège and Namur in Belgium in the late 1990’s. After becoming a company in 2002, Nanocyl continued to extend its own IP portfolio in carbon nanotube technology. Nanocyl’s Intellectual Property covers carbon nanotube synthesis technology; modifications to the carbon nanotubes; as well as products utilizing carbon nanotubes for their unique properties - such as polymer nanocomposites. |
