Chrome Replacement Coatings
Integran’s nanostructured cobalt-alloy coatings provide superior sliding wear resistance, a lower coefficient of friction and superior corrosion resistance compared to hard chrome. As an electrodeposition process it is a drop-in technology capable of using existing chrome plating infrastructure as well as being amenable to non-line-of-sight surfaces, providing a significant advantage over other chrome replacement technologies such as High Velocity Oxygen Fuel (HVOF) thermal spray coatings. With no chrome and/or other hazardous elements contained in the alloy it is also a long term solution to the environmental problems associated with hard chrome plating.
