In the first business sector of surface technology, high-performance coatings on metals, above all nanoglass on high-grade steel, constitute a special focus. The transparent glass surface does not change the appearance of the high-grade steel surfaces, however, it makes it highly resistant to abrasion and resistant to finger prints and, moreover, prevents it becoming tarnished because of heat. Due to the coating, high-grade steel surfaces stay permanently high-grade. A particular cunning is also inherent: The finished burnt-in vitreous-ceramic surface can be subsequently reshaped together with the component, without incurring damage – a unique property of the newly developed nanoglass. |
